Great-grandmother scores $25K lottery prize

Great-grandmother scores $25K lottery prize

DECATUR, Ga. -- When Betty Robinson traveled to Georgia to visit her family, she probably never dreamed that she'd return home $25,000 richer.

Robinson, 74, played the Georgia Lottery instant game Some Like It Hot! during her visit. She won the top prize.

"It was my family who were with me that suggested that I play it," said the Cincinnati, Ohio resident.

Robinson bought her lucky ticket at Sun Smokehouse at North DeKalb Mall. She claimed her prize at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Dalton.

The lucky winner has five adult daughters and a combined 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She plans to spend part of her prize on a vacation to Orlando.

ATLANTA -- Whole Foods is making it easier than ever for customers to score tickets to their favorite events.

"Ticket Alternative's team members know our city, our community and our building," Allan Vella, general manger of the Fox Theatre, said in a statement. "They are able to answer our patrons' questions with first-hand knowledge and are the perfect fit to support our ticketing operations."

This coming weekend, Whole Foods will give away tickets to several upcoming events, including Taste of Atlanta, the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Two Drink Minimum at Theatrical Outfit.
