DECATUR, Ga. -- Diners at No. 246 in Decatur can receive a gift that keeps on giving this holiday season.

The restaurant is offering customers a $20 bonus card for every $100 spent on gift cards.

Frequent diners can give the bonus cards away or put them aside for even more savings at No. 246. Bonus cards cannot be redeemed day of purchase.

No. 246 is "an Italian-inspired, locally driven restaurant," according to its website. It is located at 129 East Ponce de Leon Avenue.

DECATUR, Ga. -- On Wednesday, October 10, The Pinewood  is launching a new cocktail menu with updated pricing along with new dinner promotions for the fall season.

The new drink menu features The Pinewood’s classic cocktails as well as seasonal signature drinks. All of the classic cocktails are priced at $7.50 each, including favorites such as the Moscow Mule and Whiskey Sour. The seasonal drinks range in price from $6-$11. Some of the recent fall additions include:

·         Autumn Rivulets: Redstone Hopped honey wine, Rothman & Winter orchard pear, Yellow Chartreuse and basil granita ($9.50)

·         Padre Thyme: Laird’s bonded apple brandy, apple cider, El Jimador Reposado, honey, thyme, cardamom tincture and fresh lemon ($9.50)

DECATUR, Ga. -- The Pinewood in Decatur is now serving lunch for sit-down and on-the-go diners, Monday through Friday from 12-2 p.m.

Guests may either call in their order or order at the counter. Diners who place their lunch order to go will receive their meal in a brown-bag with napkins and utensils inside.

The new lunch menu includes sandwiches, salads and soup, as well as side items. All sandwich options include the choice of any side item. Along with the aim to serve tasty, chef-driven food, The Pinewood is also committed to providing healthy menu options. The new lunch menu includes:

·         Beaucoup country chicken sandwich: bánh mì style with buttermilk fried chicken, pickled vegetables, cilantro, soy mayonnaise on a buttered French roll, $9.50

ATLANTA -- No. 246, the locally driven, Italian-inspired restaurant located in the heart of Decatur, is featuring a special Family Supper dining option Monday through Thursday nights starting August 27. The filling four-course meal costs $18 per adult and $6 for children 12 and under.

The Family Supper menu from Executive Chef Drew Belline is served family style with the exception of the entrée and includes the following:

·         Toast with local roasted sweet peppers, local basil, shaved heirloom garlic, EVO and sea salt

·         Local greens with house dried oregano vinaigrette, pepperoncinis, small tomatoes, shaved local red onions and feta

·         Choice of one of the following pasta dishes per person:

ATLANTA -- You can do your part this week to curb Georgia's high school dropout rate. All you need to do is eat at one of your favorite restaurants.

On Thursday, Aug. 23, proceeds from restaurants across the state will be donated to Communities in Schools of Georgia, an organization that encourages young people to complete their education and succeed in life.

The sixth annual Dine Out for Kids event hopes to exceed last year's total of $30,000 for children in the state.

Communities in Schools, which has chapters across the country, provides mentoring and after-school services, including parent education, literacy programs and youth leadership opportunities.

No. 246 hosts weekly ping pong tournaments

DECATUR, Ga. -- Every Sunday starting at 4:30 p.m., No. 246 in Decatur hosts ping pong tournaments in the restaurant’s backyard area. During this time, the restaurant offers a small snack menu along with discounted beverages for ping pong players.

Beers such as Yuengling, Dale’s Pale Ale, North Coast PranQster Golden Ale and 21st Amendment “Brew Free or Die” IPA are offered at the discounted price of $3 to $6. One ounce shots of rye whiskey and Fernet Branca are also available for $3 apiece.
