Man shot in buttocks fleeing from robber

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – A man attempting to run from an armed robber was shot in the buttocks Monday night, police said.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. at 3710 Harvest Drive.

According to DeKalb County Police Major S.R. Fore, the 37-year-old man was approached by another man outside of a home. When the man tried to rob him, the victim began to run. The suspect fired one shot, striking the victim in the behind.

The suspect took the man’s key and left in his grey Lexus.

The vehicle was later located abandoned on Woodland Drive at Harvest Cove.

Police have not located the suspect.

The victim was taken to Atlanta Medical Center in serious condition.
