DeKalb County Exxon clerk shot to death

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- A 54-year-old Exxon clerk was shot to death Monday morning.

The victim, identified as Harry Wells, worked for the station in the 4100 block of Memorial Drive. He was found shot at around 4 a.m., and later died at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Witnesses told DeKalb County Police a black man entered the Exxon Food Mart, shot the clerk and then ran down Covington Highway.

The suspect has not been identified, and police have not yet determined a motive for the murder. Authorities say the gunman didn't take anything from the store.

Police have described the suspect as a slim black male in his late 20s with tattoos on the left side of his face and both arms. Authorities believe he was wearing blue and black tennis shoes along with black pants that had dollar bills printed on the front.
