Andrea Sneiderman in court today | News
DECATUR, Ga. -- Andrea Sneiderman appears in court this afternoon on a bond hearing.
11Alive will air the hearing on WIZ TV and will live stream the proceeding starting at 1:30p.m. here on 11Alive.com.
Prosecutors in the Andrea Sneiderman murder case are asking a court to allow them to seek a sentence of life without parole, if a jury convicts her on murder and other charges.
Sneiderman is the widow of Rusty Sneiderman. He was shot to death by Mrs. Sneiderman's boss, Hemy Neuman in November 2010 outside a Dunwoody daycare. In March, a DeKalb County jury said Neuman was guilty but mentally ill in the case. He's serving a life sentence.
Earlier this month, a DeKalb County grand jury indicted Mrs. Sneiderman, saying she conspired with Neuman in the murder because she was having an affair with Neuman. Mrs. Sneiderman has denied an affair. Her attorneys say she is innocent of the criminal charges.
Mrs. Sneiderman's attorney, J. Tom Morgan, says the decision to seek a life-without-parole sentence is "a ploy" by prosecutors to get a plea agreement from Mrs. Sneiderman. Morgan says the case will go to trial.
