4 families displaced by apartment fire | News
DECATUR, Ga. -- Four families were displaced by a fire that raced through a building at the Kensington Manor Apartments on Mountain Drive Tuesday morning.
Fire crews were called just before 1:00 a.m. and worked for several hours to douse the fire.
Officials said the blaze caused heavy damage to eight units.
A lack of firewalls and the building's flat roof made the fire difficult to control, according to Battalion Chief Christopher Morrison who called in a second alarm for additional manpower and equipment.
Morrison said the cause of the blaze is unknown and under investigation.
No injuries were reported.
