Healthy ME program to build health, nutrition awareness in DeKalb

DECATUR, Ga. -- A team of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension in DeKalb County and Generations Connected, Inc. will kick off the Healthy ME program on February 23 in Decatur.

Registration will be held at the DeKalb Extension Office, located at 4380 Memorial Drive. Parents or guardians must be present.

An official in DeKalb County reported that Healthy ME is designed to raise awareness of health and nutrition among DeKalb Middle School girls in 6th and 7th grades. Participants will get exposure to practices of leadership through opportunities to mentor others, and increase self-health promotion.
