Four arrested in Walmart robbery

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -- The Fayetteville Police Department has arrested four people for allegedly stealing a bank bag from a Walmart customer service area.

The incident happened on Thursday, June 9 at the Walmart on Pavilion Parkway.

According to police, two black men entered the store. One acted as a lookout while the other took the bag.

A Walmart manager witnessed the theft and followed the men into the parking lot, where he watched them get into a Chevrolet truck. The manager memorized the license number and was able to give it and a description of the car to the police.

Detectives from Fayetteville and Clayton County were able to track down the truck and stopped it at Georgia Highway 85 and Forest Parkway, just south of Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

Two men in the truck -- Howard Lowe, 45, and Darrell Caldwell, 50 -- were identified as the men who took the bank bag.
