Lauren Giddings' boyfriend describes last email before her murder | Crime

MACON, Ga. -- The boyfriend of a Mercer University law student who was brutally killed says that his girlfriend wrote in an email that a friend was asking uncomfortable questions about their relationship before she died.
Lauren Giddings' torso was found June 30 in a trash cart outside her Macon apartment. No additional remains have been discovered. The 27-year-old graduated from Agnes Scott.
One her classmates and neighbors, 26-year-old Lilburn native Stephen McDaniel, has been charged with her murder.

Giddings' boyfriend, David Vandiver, described some of the details in the final message he received from his girlfriend. He said she mentioned she had an "awkward conversation" with a friend about her relationship with Vandiver. He said that message will likely be a focal point in McDaniel's trial.
