DECATUR, Ga. – Got a couple of stubborn pounds you want to lose before swimsuit season? Perhaps, you could join the Walk for Lunch in downtown Decatur starting on Tuesday, May 3 and walk it off.

The Decatur Walk for Lunch leader-led program will be held at noon starting at the square. Walkers can register online and join their local Walk for Lunch leader or start their own team.

Walkers who register will receive: one or two mile walking maps that lead to the Decatur Square, a Walk for Lunch t-shirt, a bottle of water per day, $10 off your next pair of shoes from Fleet Feet Decatur or Big Peach, an opportunity to order $5 healthy lunches from local restaurants, leader-led walks at noon from the Square, a ticket to the May 3 Health and Wellness Expo, free goodies, a donation to the Decatur Education Foundation and a chance at daily free prizes.

Those who chose to start from different locations can click here for free walking maps/courses in the area. Be sure sign up by May 3 to take advantage of these offerings.
