DECATUR - When asked to come up with a short film that emphasizes Metro Atlanta, entrants to Creative Loafing's Short Cuts contest came up with all sorts of videos -- the contest finalists will be available for the voting public -- i.e., YOU -- to look at starting Friday on Creative Loafing's website.

The contest wanted to see the best of Atlanta's neighborhoods in five minutes or less.

One 12-year-old from Decatur, Giovanni Tortorici, had his short film entry to the contest showed off on Decatur Metro this week. The stop-motion film is called 1,368 Frames of Decatur. Mind you, this is not his first foray into film. In 2009, he created another film that encouraged Decatur residents to recycle.
