NBCAHOF Hall of Fame Weekend

The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation will celebrate its 25th Anniversary during their Annual Hall of Fame Weekend; beginning Thursday, September 23rd and ending Sunday, September 26th.

The Hall of Fame Foundation is a “partner to help ensure the stability, strength and excellence of our nation’s Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and assembles alumni, students, administrators, corporate leaders, celebrities and dignitaries for a weekend of events that include workshops and panel discussions surrounding trends and issues that impact HBCUs and/or predominately Black colleges and universities, as well as the community at large”.

The 25th Annual Hall of Fame Weekend celebration features numerous events for the entire family, including its signature Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, September 24, 2010 at The Hyatt Regency Atlanta, hosted by Mrs. April Woodard of Inside Edition. The Induction Ceremony will honors HBCU alumni with high levels of achievement in the fields of The Arts, Athletics, Business, Community Service, Faith and Theology, Government, Industry, Law, Medicine and Science, in addition to bestowing Lifetime Achievement awards.

- the Black College Invitational Golf Tournament to be held at Browns Mill Golf Course

- Legacy Lecture Series which covers a range of topics that effect HBCU’s.

- The Black College Gospel Choir Competition, hosted by Bishop Eddie L. Long and Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, September 26, 2010.
