March Against Violence with Comissioner Larry Johnson

In an effort to curb crime in the Glenwood Road area, between Columbia Srive and Covington Highway, Commissioner Larry L. Johnson (DeKalb District 3 Commissioner) is launching his Glenwood Renaissance Initiative’s Enough Is Enough! A Business Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, September 21, 2010 beginning at 6:00 p.m. at 4467 Glenwood Road.  This event is hosted by Newburger Andes the owners of the shopping plaza where the event will take place. 

Residents and area business people are encouraged to come out and meet business owners, community residents, area policemen and Commissioner Johnson. And Thursday, September 23, 2010 the Enough is Enough! Community Awareness March beginning at 6:00 p.m.  is scheduled. 

This march will start at the old Kmart shopping center and end at the I-285 bridge symbolizing the residents and business owners staking their claim on the community.  The Enough Is Enough! Community Awareness meeting will take place, Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at Covenant Ministries Cathedral, 1700 Covenant Ministries Boulevard, Decatur, GA  30032, residents and business owners will come together with the police to discuss strategies on how to combat crime and successfully take back the streets.
